Bude Wellness Warriors – Annual General Meeting Report

Great day out celebrating 3 years and our first AGM

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bude Wellness Warriors was successfully held at Berries Community Café, with a fantastic turnout from members of the group. The gathering marked an important milestone for the community as we reflected on the achievements of the past twelve months while also celebrating the three-year anniversary of the Bude Wellness Warriors.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members to gain a deeper understanding of how the group operates and how it has been structured to support the wellbeing of those involved. During the session, we reviewed the group’s constitution and discussed the management practices that have been put in place. These practices are designed to ensure that members gain the maximum benefit from the activities offered, while also providing essential safeguarding measures that protect everyone involved in the community.

Participation and Activity Summary (2025–2026)

Over the past year, participation across all Bude Wellness Warriors activities has been exceptional. The data collected throughout the year shows the strength of engagement from members and the growing momentum of the group.

Across the year, members collectively took part in 799 individual wellness attendances spanning a wide range of sessions designed to support physical health, mental resilience, and social connection.

These included:

407 Cold Water Therapy attendances, 197 Breathwork attendances, 85 Wellness Walk attendances, 79 Social events attendances and 21 Camping attendances and more.

Cold water therapy and breathwork continue to be the core practices within the community, forming the foundation for many members’ weekly routines and personal wellbeing journeys. The regular walks, social events, and occasional ceremonial gatherings such as sweat lodges and camping trips have helped build a strong sense of brotherhood and connection within the group.

The participation report also highlights the impressive commitment of individual members, with many attending dozens of sessions across the year. In particular:

Ian LeGrand participated in 90 sessions. Sean Brennan completed 83 sessions, including a remarkable number of cold dips and breathwork practices. Steve Hudson recorded 104 total participations across multiple activities, showing outstanding dedication to the community.

These figures demonstrate not only the consistency of attendance but also the strong culture of accountability and discipline that the Wellness Warriors aim to promote.
